Emily Chludzinski

Meet Emily Chludzinski, the dynamic General Manager of the Milford Independent Cinema, who’s redefining what it means to lead a small-town movie theater with heart, innovation, and community at its core. At just under 30, Emily oversees every detail of the theater’s day-to-day operations—from programming and sponsorships to events and social media - and plays a key role in shaping its long-term vision. “Emily has completely elevated the experience at the cinema,” says Stefanie Farquharson, President of the Huron Valley Film Organization that runs the cinema. “Her passion, professionalism, and creativity shine through everything she does. She’s the reason our community sees the cinema as more than just a place to watch movies - it’s a gathering space again.”

For Emily, the Milford Independent Cinema is more than a workplace, it’s a calling. “From the moment I received the keys to the cinema and began learning all the roles that keep it running, I knew this would become one of my favorite and most rewarding experiences,” she shares. She’s brought in new partnerships, organized themed events like Dinner & a Movie nights with local restaurants, and strengthened the connection between film and community. “Emily doesn’t just manage the cinema,” Stefanie adds. “She makes it thrive. She’s constantly finding creative ways to keep things fresh, accessible, and exciting for everyone.”

What Emily loves most about her work is the people - the customers who travel from all over for special screenings, the regulars who never miss a show, and the local businesses that make every event possible. Her leadership has kept the cinema vibrant, relevant, and deeply rooted in Milford’s creative spirit. Whether she’s greeting guests at the door or planning the next big event, Emily embodies what makes the Milford Independent Cinema such a treasure: dedication, vision, and genuine love for her community.
