Meghan Smith

Meet Meghan Smith, founder of Hope.Love.Smile.Project, a White Lake-based nonprofit created alongside her husband, Travis, to support children with special needs and the families who love them. At the heart of everything Meghan does is her daughter, Emerson (Emme), whose journey with a rare genetic condition, Adams-Oliver syndrome, became the inspiration behind it all. “We believe every child deserves to be celebrated, every family deserves support, and that even in life’s hardest moments, there is always room for hope, love, and smiles,” Meghan shares. What began as a deeply personal experience has grown into a mission-driven organization that brings light, connection, and real support to families navigating complex medical challenges.

Through Hope.Love.Smile.Project, Meghan and her family are creating meaningful impact in tangible ways—offering direct grants for essential needs, building community through shared experiences, and reminding families they are never alone. “We wanted to be a space for families who need guidance and support for children with complex medical issues,” she says. In addition to the nonprofit, Meghan also runs a for-profit arm, Hope.Love.Smile, where merchandise sales help fund the organization’s work—creating a thoughtful, sustainable way to give back. Whether someone is shopping, donating, or simply sharing the mission, there are multiple ways to be part of what they’re building.

For Meghan, this work is deeply personal and incredibly fulfilling. “Owning my own business brings me a sense of pride, and I am beyond excited about the amazing things we are doing for children and families,” she shares. More than anything, she hopes to lead by example for her own children—showing them that even in the face of challenges, they have the power to make a difference. Hope.Love.Smile.Project is exactly that—a reminder that even in the hardest seasons, community, compassion, and a little bit of light can go a long way.
