October Encore! Meetup: Volunteer at Haven
We’re thrilled to announce our next Women In Milford Encore! Meetup—this fall, we’ll be coming together to volunteer at HAVEN of Oakland County. HAVEN is a nonprofit devoted to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and the work we do there has a lasting impact on the lives of women and families in our community.

This Encore! Meetup isn’t just about lending a hand—it’s about showing up for others in meaningful ways. Whether we’re cleaning and organizing the Art Therapy rooms, refreshing the kitchen, or simply making HAVEN’s space more welcoming, every task contributes to creating a safe, supportive environment. Volunteer work like this may not always be glamorous, but it is truly work worth doing. When we serve others, we strengthen not only those we’re helping, but also the bonds that tie our own community together.
Service is at the heart of Women In Milford’s mission. By lifting each other up, we remind ourselves what’s possible when women come together with purpose, compassion, and resilience.
