Alicia Long
Meet Alicia Long, Natural Health Practitioner and founder of Sunny Side Up Wellness, a holistic practice based right here in Milford inside The Well Counseling. Alicia’s work centers on helping women uncover the root causes of health challenges so they can feel vibrant, balanced, and fully themselves again. Her path into natural medicine began during her own postpartum health journey, when she found herself searching for answers and hitting frustrating dead ends. “I was told many things were ‘normal,’ yet I didn’t feel well,” Alicia shares. That experience led her to explore mineral balance, detoxification, and naturopathic approaches that support the body’s innate ability to heal. Today, through Sunny Side Up Wellness, Alicia helps women reconnect with their bodies and shine brighter in every season of life.
The name Sunny Side Up Wellness carries special meaning for Alicia. “I was born ‘sunny side up,’ looking upward toward the light,” she explains, and when it came time to name her practice, the phrase perfectly captured her mission. Through natural health consults, mineral and heavy metal testing, detox support, reflexology, craniosacral therapy, and lymphatic drainage, Alicia works with clients both in person and virtually. She also connects with women through her Sunny Side Up Podcast, community workshops, wellness retreats, and The Cleanse Club, a global seasonal cleansing community she co-founded. For Alicia, the heart of the work is about giving women practical tools and hope on their health journey. “I wanted to create a place where women could turn their face back toward the light when it comes to their health,” she says.
One of Alicia’s favorite parts of owning her business is witnessing transformation in real time. “Watching the light come back on for people is everything,” she says. “There is nothing better than seeing someone finally understand what their body has been trying to tell them and realizing healing is possible.” In addition to her practice, Alicia recently published her first book, Heavy, a hybrid memoir exploring the emotional, physical, and spiritual weight many of us carry. Through personal stories and reflections on health and healing, her hope is that readers feel seen and less alone. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, root-cause approach to wellness or simply a supportive community of women on a similar journey, Alicia and Sunny Side Up Wellness are shining a light right here in our community.
