Amanda Price
If you’ve spent time at the Milford Farmers Market, chances are you’ve seen the line forming at Whisked + Folded. Owner Amanda Price has built her micro bakery around creativity, quality, and a genuine love for sharing baked goods with people. What started with a passion for recipe development and working in a bakery to learn the craft eventually grew into a home-based business, and now into a fully licensed commercial kitchen operation. “I’ve always loved baking, especially developing new recipes and sharing my baked goods with others,” Amanda says. Today, Whisked + Folded creates everything from custom cakes and dessert tables to wholesale baked goods and market favorites, all made with the same thoughtful touch that built her loyal following in the first place.
One of the most exciting things happening right now is that Whisked + Folded is moving into a brand-new licensed kitchen space. “My new space is so close to being complete and I can’t wait to welcome people into it,” Amanda shares. While the bakery will remain appointment-only, she’s also planning pop-up sales and baking classes in the future—something many local baking fans will be thrilled to hear. And of course, you’ll still be able to find her this summer at both the Milford Farmers Market on Thursdays and the Wolverine Lake Farmers Market on Tuesdays. Amanda is especially excited to get back outside for market season. “I miss the vibes and seeing everyone, fellow vendors and customers alike,” she says.
What makes Whisked + Folded stand out is Amanda’s ability to balance comforting classics with inventive flavors that keep people coming back. Whether you’re craving what she calls “the best chocolate chip cookie you’ll have” or something more adventurous like orange cinnamon rolls or s’mores babka, there’s truly something for everyone. Behind the scenes, Amanda admits she’s not naturally a risk taker, which makes the growth of her business even more meaningful. “I’ve second guessed nearly every decision I’ve made,” she says, “but thanks to the support of friends, family, and customers, I’ve been able to really enjoy the process and take pride in what I’ve built.” Supporting Whisked + Folded right now can be as simple as stopping by the markets, recommending her to local businesses, or sharing her work on social media—all of which helps this growing local bakery continue to thrive.
