Meet Jill Scapelliti, co-owner of Venue Next Door, the charming, art-inspired gift shop located at 113 N. Lafayette Street in South Lyon. Alongside partners Darlene Joseph and Tanya Nevitt, Jill has helped create a space where creativity, community, and good vibes come together in the best way. The three owners dreamed up the idea for the shop over the years, and when the perfect space opened up, they knew it was time. “It had been a fun idea we tossed around for a while,” Jill shares. “When the space became available, we jumped!” With each owner bringing a different sense of style to the shop, their buying naturally complements one another, creating a store filled with personality. “There are little pieces of each of us scattered around VND,” Jill says.

Venue Next Door is truly a place where every visit feels fresh and fun. The shop is filled with thoughtfully curated finds including live plants, beautiful pots, home décor, stationery, books, candles, artwork from local artists, and a wide selection of Michigan-made goods. They’re also known for their gorgeous Motawi tile selection, which has quickly become a favorite among customers.
